I am back….again…for the second time?….I think….? Hello everyone!!! So I took a long hiatus. Many things have happened, so without further ado… (This post contains affiliate links)
I am glad to be back! Sending my thoughts out to the world is kinda cool.
I returned to work as mentioned in this blog post The Return of the WORKING teacher mommy. I am now a full time mom, wife and teacher, which meant ZERO time for myself. I am now committing myself to blogging and creating for Teachers Pay Teachers. I have even started a Teacher Pay Teachers store which you can access by clicking here. I will begin to blog about being a teacher mom, which emcompasses ALOT. I will discuss topics from a teacher-mom point of view such as raising a reader, strategies for teaching your child to read, and raising gifted children. I will also discuss being a mom, #BOYSMOM and just my everyday teacher life (ie teaching sight words whole group). I hope that those who read my blog still enjoy reading it with this slight change, and look forward to the freebies I plan on adding!
I plan on accomplishing this by trying to stay organized. Now I have created a sort of modified bullet journal/ happy planner. The happy Planner is customizable and it is meeting my needs. I really did enjoy using my bullet journal, but for me I spent more time creating the weekly layout and the daily pages then actually organizing and keeping track of my schedule. My bullet journal is still used as a way to keep notes and jot down ideas. It is small and fits in my purse. Here is my bullet journal/ small notebook:
Here is a picture of my modified Happy Teacher planner. After adding personalized inserts and some graphics. So far I LOOVE IT!!! One of my colleagues gave her old one away and I decided that I wanted to test run the planner before investing in my own. I ended up purchasing a calendar Happy Planner Teacher Edition and the Happy Planner hole punch to add pages to the planner. Later I will share what I added to the planner and what I love about it in a later post.
As always please feel free to comment, and share, sharing is caring!!!
Here is a fun game that I made. This activity can be used in the classroom, homeschool or just s fun way to introduce letter and letter sounds to your kiddos. It is available at my teacher pay teacher store here.
Yall’ take care!!
